The Gloryland Travelers are a traditional quartet gospel ministry out of Akron, Ohio. The ministry came about through a vision given by God to James Tate, Jr. in 2002. Their goal is to encourage the Saints in Christ and to inspire the lost to come to Christ.
Brother Tate grew up with a praying mother and a quartet singing father. His love for traditional gospel music originated with his parents and grew with intensity into his adult years. The gift of singing was revealed to him at an early age. It is evident that the vision of a singing ministry was predestined.
The ministry is made up of Christian singers and musicians using their God-given talents for the glory of God. It has undergone many changes over the past eight years, but never lost the vision originally given to Brother Tate. The ministry has shared the Gospel with audiences all over Northeast Ohio and aspires to spread Christianity throughout the world.
